What does a great JAVA/J2EE Engineer do?

As a Software Development Engineer, you are responsible for contributions to the full stack of the software development lifecycle. This is a software development role for the individual who can gather requirements in conjunction with business managers as well as collaborating technical development teams. The engineer will work to apply those requirements within the application’s technical architecture stack utilizing diverse solution sets such as Java, Kafka, SpringBoot, Cloud Foundry and Concourse.

 

There will also be the opportunity to design and implement business supporting applications that are fully solutioned, architected and developed in-house.

 

You will be part of a highly technical team that emphasize the importance of software coding standards along with the ability to learn and implement new technology solutions that further refine the high transaction/low latency systems that are currently in place.

 

You will develop a deep understanding of our product and architecture as well as payments processing and banking to find and correct flaws and deliver improvements in our applications.

 

Help drive process improvements in development and operations. In this role, you will be included in after-hours support rotations for software releases and upgrades as well as incidents and support escalations.

 

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 5+ years of experience with Java and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience operating and supporting critical business applications
  • Create process improvements and workflow to facilitate problem resolution with speed and accuracy
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in managing client and stakeholder expectations and resolution commitments

 

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Kafka
  • Cloud Storage, AWS

 

All roles have to be on-site in our New Jersey Location. No Corp-to-Corp. This is a full-time role.
